Most people think ChatGPT is a “second brain.”
It isn’t.
If anything, it’s a mirror, and most of us are too stressed, too busy, or too close to our own thoughts to see what’s staring back.

Here’s the real problem:
When your thinking is messy, rushed, or happening under pressure, every decision feels heavier than it should.
ChatGPT won’t fix that by giving you more information.
You don’t need more information; you need contrast.

And that’s what people inside the smartest teams have quietly figured out.
They’re not using ChatGPT to get answers.
They’re using it to see the angles they can’t see themselves, the assumptions, blind spots, shortcuts, and emotional noise that shape their decisions without them noticing.

It’s not a second brain.
It’s your third perspective, the outside view, your real brain loses the moment life gets noisy.

And once you understand that, everything about how you use ChatGPT changes.
It stops being a tool you “ask things,” and becomes a partner that helps you think clearly, make better choices, and take weight off your mind.

In this issue, I’ll show you the simplest way to use ChatGPT like that, no jargon, no overwhelm,  just the method that makes it feel like a calmer, sharper version of your own thinking.

HOW TO TURN CHATGPT INTO A REAL THINKING PARTNER

Most people use ChatGPT the way they use Google:
ask → receive → move on.

And that is why they get surface-level answers.

If you want ChatGPT to feel like a real collaborator, not a clever search bar, you need three things: a master thread, a tuned personality, and a 60-second calibration before every session.
That’s it.

Below is the exact setup.

1. Create a single master thread

This is where the quality jump happens.

One thread/chat.
Not fifty.
Not “new chat” every time.

Why?

Because ChatGPT becomes clearer, sharper, and more useful the more it understands your context.

Your work.
Your tone.
Your decisions.
Your patterns.
Your blind spots.

Keeping everything in one place creates continuity.
Continuity creates intelligence.

Call the thread:
“My Thinking Partner”

This becomes the place where your ideas get clarified, not just answered.

2. Tune the personality so it thinks with you, not for you

Most people never touch Custom Instructions.
That’s why ChatGPT keeps sounding like a safety manual.

Here’s the instruction that changes everything:

“Your job is not to please me or predict what I want.
Your job is to challenge my assumptions, reveal blind spots, sharpen my thinking, and show the perspectives I may be missing.
Keep your answers grounded, calm, and direct. No fluff. No corporate tone. No hype.
Think with me, not for me.”

This turns ChatGPT from assistant → collaborator.
From polite → useful.
From generic → incisive.

3. Use perspective questions, not task questions

Task questions give you outputs.
Perspective questions give you clarity.

Examples:

• “What am I not seeing?”
• “What would someone wiser than me notice here?”
• “Where are my assumptions influencing this decision?”
• “What are the possible angles I’m ignoring?”
• “What’s the simplest interpretation I haven’t considered?”
• “If you had to disagree with me, where would you start?”

This is where ChatGPT becomes your third perspective,  the angle you can’t see because you’re inside the problem.

This is the heart of the model:
your view + AI’s outside view = clarity you can’t access alone.

4. A one-minute calibration before every session

This is the most overlooked step, and the reason people get mediocre outputs.

Before you ask anything, type this:

“Here is what I’m trying to figure out.
Here is the context.
Here’s what I’m unsure about.
Here’s where I think I might be biased.
Help me see the full picture before we try to solve anything.”

This instantly raises the quality of the entire conversation.

Why?

Because humans don’t think clearly when we rush.
And ChatGPT mirrors whatever level of clarity you bring.

Calibrate your mind → calibrate the machine.

The result

When you use ChatGPT like this, everything feels lighter.
You stop treating it like a machine that spits out answers and start using it as the calm mind you borrow when yours is overloaded. It doesn’t make you faster, it makes you clearer.

Decisions feel less heavy.
Ideas feel easier to articulate.
The tasks you’ve been putting off suddenly have a simple next step.

The real value isn’t that ChatGPT can write or research.
It’s that it helps you think without the noise.
It shows you the angle you miss when you’re stressed, rushed, or too close to a problem.

And that’s the point:
This isn’t about prompts or hacks.
It’s about having a steady, intelligent partner in your corner, one that helps you see the full picture when your world gets loud.

Tooling for Trust: Building Your Seatbelt for the AI Era

It’s not hackers that worry me most.
It’s good people, smart, careful people, pasting client data into an AI tool because they just needed something done faster.

AI risk isn’t about headlines. It’s about inputs, what we feed the machine, knowingly or not.
And in this new world, you’re only as safe as your rules.

That’s why I built the AI Risk & Policy Toolkit, not to make anyone paranoid, but to give every business something they’ve never had before: a seatbelt for the AI era.
It doesn’t turn you into a compliance lawyer. It helps you stay confident while your team experiments, creates, and automates.

Inside, you’ll find:

  • Leak Mapping Worksheet – to spot where your data quietly slips into third-party tools.

  • Tool Vetting Checklist – five questions to test whether an AI tool deserves your trust.

  • AI Policy Templates – clear, editable rules you can drop straight into your team handbook.

  • Quarterly Review Sheet – a simple ritual to stay proactive instead of reactive.

The moment you write it down, panic turns into process.
That’s the point. You protect your business before you ever need protection.

If this sparked something in you, come say hello on LinkedIn; that’s where I share the deeper lessons, tools, and systems behind ConfigurAI.

For the human side, the messy experiments, reflections, and moments that shape the work, you’ll find that on Instagram.

And if you want to see how it all connects, the business, the story, the mission, it’s all at orgesameli.com

Because what we’re building here isn’t just about AI.
It’s about making technology feel human again
